Thanks for all of your helpful comments regarding my Achilles! Unfortunately, I’m still injured and it still hurts like a mother. It’s so frustrating to think I was fine just a few days ago, and now I’m wondering when I’ll even be able to run again or if I’ve completely blown my chances at running the planned spring marathon.
Not that I’m thinking about it almost every second of the day of anything…
We runners hate being injured – not just because injuries hurt (this one sure does) – but because running is such a part of us. Each morning I’m not able to get out there and run, I feel like I’m missing out on something great. The park in the early morning, sunrises, conversations with running buddies, they all go on without me.
And I hate it.
I’m definitely still in the “depression” phase of this injury (check out my post about the stages of injury) as I continue to figure out just how I can get better, but I’ll cease my whining and show you some photos from outside my window
Trudging through snow feels GREAT on an aching Achilles…
Ok, now I’ll really stop whining.
Since I’m getting back into the swing of school and classes, I want to dedicate more posts on the blog to nutrition-related topics and questions you have.
So tell me, guys – what nutrition-related questions do you have? What would you like to see a post on? A reader recently wrote about some questions about iron (thanks, Mary!), so stay tuned for a post soon!
Happy Thursday 🙂
