“If you’re tired, you take a Napa. You don’t move to Napa!”
I heart that quote from Sex and the City, although after spending three days in the Napa Valley I definitely understand what Mr. Big was thinking.
Crispy Calamari with curried slaw and fresno chilies
Dungeness Crab Cakes, chipotle aioli, arugula salad, molasses vinaigrette
Ahi Tuna Crackers, wasabi crème fraiche, soy vinaigrette
Grilled Halibut with green beans, potato croquettes and tartar sauce
Marinated Baby Beets Rancho Gordo Quinoa, Pea Tendrils, Hazelnuts Avocado, Acme Levain
Liberty Farms Duck Breast Brook Cherries, Charred-Braised Romaine, Lentils du Puy, Vadouvan, Marcona Almonds
Chocolate Souffle Yuzu Ice Cream
Caramel Fennel Pollen Olive Oil Financier, Honeycomb Candy, Crème Fraîche Sherbet
(Our meal at FARM was one of the best I’ve EVER had. If you’re ever in Napa, you simply must go here.)
(We also visited two other vineyards, but Quintessa was by far the best wine and experience.)
And a great group of ladies
(Heather, Jennifer, myself and Darby. Missing: Amber!)
My point: Napa is relaxing, gorgeous and filled with delicious food and nice people. We ate, we drank, we relaxed, and we celebrated Darby’s last days as a single lady in style.
Back to regularly scheduled blogging (and why I want to move to San Francisco) tomorrow! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend 🙂
Question: Favorite vacation spot?
